- This is an upgrade to the NFS Gateway 1.1 product. This patch will allow NFS
- Gateway 1.1 installations on NetWare 3.x to upgrade to the 1.2 level of the
- NetWare NFS Gateway product. This patch contains fixes and enhancements to the
- NetWare NFS Gateway 1.1 product.

- REQUIRING SUPPORT ON 4.x MUST EITHER PURCHASE THE 1.2 RELEASE OR
- CALL THE FOLLOWING NUMBERS TO UPGRADE TO 1.2.

- YOU MUST HAVE NFS GATEWAY 1.1 ALREADY INSTALLED TO APPLY THIS PATCH.
- IF YOU HAVE NFS 1.2B OR FLEX 1.2 INSTALLED YOU MUST UPGRADE THESE
- PRODUCTS TO 1.2C REVISION. CALL 800-926-6075(NORTH AMERICA) OR
- 716-871-6527(INTERNATIONAL) TO UPGRADE THESE PRODUCTS.

- Install
- -------
-
- 1. Copy the self extracting file GWY194.EXE into a temporary directory
- on the server with NFS Gateway 1.1.
-
- 2. Extract the file by typing GWY194.
-
- 3. From the server console issue NFSSTOP or UNISTOP. This will unload
- the NLM's listed in the NFSSTOP.NCF or UNISTOP.NCF file.
-
- 4. Load INSTALL and choose PRODUCT OPTIONS.
-
- 5. From within PRODUCT OPTIONS, press insert and enter the path of the
- NFSGW1 directory within the temp directory,
-
- Example:
-
- sys:temp\nfsgw1
-
- 6. After the file copy process is done, the configuration menu, UNICON,
- will be invoked.
-
- 7. Select the appropriate time-zone when prompted.
-
- If NIS and DNS was not set up properly in NFS Gateway 1.1, enter
- appropriate NIS and DNS information. Refer to the NFS Gateway 1.1 manual
- for details.
-
- If for some reason the GWY194 patch must be deinstalled, do the following
- steps:
-
- 1. Load INSTALL from the server and choose PRODUCT OPTIONS.
-
- 2. Highlight the GWPTCH product and press delete.
-
- The following message will appear and can be ignored:
-
- Could not remove the serialization information but product
- removal will continue.
-
